About Which Wedding

 

Before we explain Which Wedding, we'd like to tell you how the idea came about.

In June 2000, a wedding was being planned between two people of the same religion but with very little religious faith. They wanted to introduce some traditions into the ceremony but at the same time make the wedding less formal and about their own feelings. Having looked through wedding magazines and on the Internet, they found that whilst some traditional weddings were featured so many others were not. What they needed was one port of call where they could find the wedding that they wanted, read about the various traditions and select the ones that they felt represented them. From this, Which Wedding was born.

Since then, the Which Wedding team have been hard at work completing research for every wedding they can think of: world religions, civil ceremonies, commitment ceremonies, themed weddings, weddings abroad, blessings, second marriages and many more. But this is more than just a 'what can you do' web site. The idea behind Which Wedding is to let you choose which wedding you want and then to give you as much information as possible in a friendly, understandable and easy-to-follow way.

Of course, planning the actual wedding ceremony is just one part of the process. What about the services you need to use? There are so many outside companies available to make your day special, including florists, caterers, and photographers and, of course there is the choice of venue. It is vital that the companies you choose are the best ones available and within your own budget. At Which Wedding we feel that a long telephone-book style list of names is not what you want to see. After we have selected the suppliers for each service in your area, we will then offer them to you in a way that allows you to make an informed decision on which one you want to contact.

The aim of Which Wedding is to give a one-stop guide for all weddings, not just the obvious ones, and to offer the best services in your area. We want to help you make you wedding as personal and as fun as possible and we want to ensure that you have access to the best service providers possible.
