Hindu Weddings

A Hindu marriage is held as a means of revealing Tamil culture and traditions. It is one of a series of holy sacraments. Marriage is seen as a union of two minds; it is a step in the spiritual evolution of the human soul. In the eyes of the Hindu community, marriage has a purifying quality; a lot of religious and social significance is attached to it. There are a number of morals and ethical principles that the couple, through marriage, are taught to respect. Tamil culture upholds the principle of "One Man One Woman"
